”Fleeting Memories”

Step into the world of fleeting memories and endless tranquility with my latest artwork, “Fleeting Memories” This painting, measuring 36 x 36 inches and was created using a combination of cold wax medium and oil paint on a cradled birch wood panel.

When you see this composition, I hope you will be transported to a place of calmness and introspection. The cool, muted color palette of soft grays, blues and hints of green, yellow, and white evoke a sense of peacefulness and tranquility. I created a distinct horizon line to suggest a separation between sky and water or land, to add depth and dimension to what you see.

I included botanical elements, such as flowers and leaves throughout the piece, each exhibiting its own unique color and form. The vibrant flowering tree I painted was intended to add some warmth, as I often add a tree to my paintings.

The painting technique I use in most of my paintings is many layered, soft and diffused, inviting the viewer to explore and discover hidden treasure within the layers of color and form. Bright colors mingle with the paler tone to convey the fleeting nature of light and to created an atmosphere of reflection and contemplation.

Inspired by one of my memories of a landscape, “Fleeting Memories” captures the essence of fleeting moments and the beauty of impermanence.
