It all started as an experiment with the new fat block of ArtGraf No.1 kneadable graphite and then the images took over, tumbling out…they are still coming. There are times when the image becomes very personal. I’m sure that is always true to an extent. Sometimes they are more intimate. Perhaps it is best not to explain in words and let the images speak for themselves. For certain my love for the monochromatic and my deep fascination with the interior and exterior landscapes takes over when I put marks to paper.
They’re amazing. Helen! Makes me want to take another one of your classes!

Thanks Holly. Still working. Once a series takes over, never know what is coming next. Fun isn’t it?? Happy painting.

Helen,
I am so glad you “liked” the post on my new quilt. It reminded me of your work…at this point, we seem to like the simple black and white…me, a bit more color. This graphite work is great. Sue
